Field Days: TE Prospecting's Small-Team Adventures into the Mountains

TE Prospecting | April 2025

At TE Prospecting, we’re a small, homegrown crew with a big love for the outdoors. We don’t run giant machines or have corporate backing—but what we do have is passion, boots on the ground, and a steady eye for hidden treasures in the wild.

Lately, we’ve been spending more time exploring new mountain ranges and scouting areas that are off the beaten path. While we’re still learning a lot about the process, we’re excited to see where this curiosity takes us—especially when it comes to rare earth materials and other interesting finds tucked away in the rock.

“We’re not experts or big-time miners,” says Sheldon, founder of TE Prospecting, “but we love getting out there with our gear and putting in the work. Every trip teaches us something new.”

What We’re Working On:

  • 🗺️ Learning the Land: We’re experimenting with basic mapping tools to mark our routes and document interesting mineral signs.

  • ⛏️ New Gear: Slowly adding updated tools to help us break rock more efficiently and safely.

  • 🌄 Exploring with Purpose: Looking for promising float material, unusual formations, and signs of rare minerals in places we've never been before.

We believe that even as a small team, there’s still a lot of value in being curious, careful, and consistent. Whether it’s quartz, garnet, or something unexpected—we’re in it for the adventure, the learning, and the love of the land.

Stay tuned for more stories from the field as we keep walking ridgelines, hiking into the unknown, and seeing what we can uncover—one small trip at a time.
